I didn't realise Amelia's birthday was Day 100. Probably just as well eh? It's quietening down, most people are getting on with their lives, occasionally giving me a call/text/visit, which is all right. Mac has been particularly attentive and we've got a couple of days in London to look forward to as well.
It's still very strange coming home to an empty house, stranger still that it always stays that way. I've been doing a lot around the house, slowly, and I'm not sure you'd like all of it (have I said this before?), Carrie says I'm keeping busy to suppress the grief. Maybe she's right, but it really is incredibly lonely here on my own so can you blame me?
Steve and Alison arrive on Tuesday and I'm going to make a chowder! I tested the scallops today and although they look a bit weird defrosted (as opposed to fresh), they cleaned up well and tasted perfectly good, so fingers crossed! By the way, did you ever see how many there were? I doubt it, but there are potentially hundreds! I'll have to find a good many scallop recipes for the winter ahead.
Really tired today, another very late night without you...
Ric
